Working on integrating root water uptake in the main DORiE framework. Modelling is done in full 3D on an irregular grid.

Example root simulation

The potential in the soil for an infiltration from the top is shown. The initial condition was hydrostatic equilibrium with the water table being at -2m at the bottom of the image. Roots penetrate down to -0.33m. Infiltration stops after 3600s. The location of the roots is marked in black. The infiltration front coming from the top is absorbed at the root location leading to lower potential values.
